In a bid to cater to the needs of Hajj pilgrims, Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC (IBBPLC) inaugurated a Hajj Booth at the Hajj Camp in Ashkona, Dhaka. The booth aims to provide special services to pilgrims embarking on the sacred journey to Mecca.

Mohammed Monirul Moula, Managing Director of Islami Bank, graced the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest on Wednesday. Among the distinguished attendees were Muhammad Qaisar Ali, Additional Managing Director, Md. Maksudur Rahman, Senior Executive Vice President of the bank, and Mohammed Kamruzzaman, Director of the Hajj Office (Deputy Secretary), along with Md. Omar Hayat Chowdhury and Md. Solaiman, Vice Presidents of the bank, alongside other officials.

The Hajj Booth serves as a hub for various services, including the provision of US Dollar and Saudi Riyal Endorsement and exchange facilities, distribution of Hajj guides, ATM services, and information services. Islami Bank has been a steadfast presence at the Hajj Camp in Ashkona, offering banking services, information, and practical gifts to pilgrims annually.

Notably, the booth facilitates debit and Khidmah (credit) card endorsements, allowing pilgrims to withdraw Riyal from any VISA-branded ATM in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the booth serves as a source of comprehensive banking-related information for pilgrims, ensuring they are well-informed throughout their journey.

As part of its commitment to enhancing the pilgrim experience, Islami Bank provides thoughtful gifts such as umbrellas, handbags, shoe bags, and stone bags to Hajj pilgrims. Moreover, the bank has extended its support to Biman Bangladesh Airlines by providing a bus service from the Hajj Camp to the airport, streamlining the boarding process for pilgrims.

The inauguration of the Hajj Booth underscores Islami Bank’s dedication to facilitating a seamless and fulfilling Hajj experience for pilgrims, reflecting its commitment to serving the community and upholding Islamic values.
