Islami Bank Conducts Cyber Security Training Workshop for Agent Banking Officials

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC organized a virtual platform training workshop titled “Cyber Security Protection” for agent banking officials on Monday. The workshop aimed to enhance the awareness and skills of agent banking officials in preventing and responding to cyber threats.

Qaisar Ali, the bank’s additional managing director, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape and urged the participants to remain vigilant and adopt necessary precautions to protect themselves and the bank from cyberattacks.

Senior Executive Vice President Maksudur Rahman Rahman oversaw the program, while Senior Vice President S M Mizanur Rahman addressed the main discussion. Executive Vice President A K M Mahbub Morshed delivered the welcome speech.

A total of 761 bank and agent outlet officials participated in the workshop. They received comprehensive training on various cybersecurity topics, including cybercrime trends, social engineering attacks, phishing scams, malware, and data breaches. The workshop also provided guidance on implementing effective cybersecurity measures and best practices.

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC is committed to safeguarding its customers and their data from cyber threats. The bank regularly conducts training and awareness programs for its employees and agent banking partners to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves and the bank from cyberattacks.
