Mymensingh Correspondent: International Noise Awareness Day 2026 was observed in Mymensingh with a discussion meeting held at 11:00 AM in the conference room of the Divisional Commissioner’s office.
The event was organized under the “Integrated and Partnership-Based Project for Noise Pollution Control.” This year’s theme was “No More Noise Pollution, We Want a Healthy Life.”
The discussion meeting was chaired by the Divisional Commissioner of Mymensingh Division. Speakers at the event highlighted the growing problem of noise pollution in urban and semi-urban areas and its harmful impact on public health, especially on children, the elderly, and patients.
They emphasized the need for strict enforcement of noise control regulations, raising public awareness, and ensuring coordinated efforts among government agencies, local authorities, and citizens to reduce noise pollution.
Officials from different government departments, environmental activists, and representatives from various organizations were also present at the program.
