Mrinal Kanti Roy, Tangail Correspondent: The government is going to launch ‘Agricultural Card’ for the landless, marginal and small farmers of the country. This card will be handed over to all farmers across the country in three phases. Under this, farmers will get various benefits including 2500 taka per year. Tomorrow, on April 14, on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh, Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate this program from Shaheed Maruf Stadium in Tangail. On this occasion, a festive atmosphere prevails across the district.
On Monday (April 13), Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid, Tangail Sadar MP and State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, and State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque visited the assembly site and saw the progress of the work at Shaheed Maruf Stadium in Tangail around 11 am. Tangail Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque and Superintendent of Police Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar were present at the time. District Council Administrator Advocate SM Obaidul Haque was also present.
