Inauguration of Entrepreneur Development Program Jointly Organized by Bangladesh Bank and Jamuna Bank PLC.

A month-long Entrepreneurship Development Program was inaugurated on July 24, 2025, in Jhenaidah, jointly organized by Jamuna Bank PLC and Bangladesh Bank under the SICIP project of the Ministry of Finance. The event was chaired by Md. Shahidul Islam, Deputy Managing Director & CRO of Jamuna Bank PLC. Md. Nazrul Islam, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank and Project Director of SICIP, attended as the Chief Guest, while Superintendent of Police Md. Manzur Morshed formally inaugurated the program. Moazzem Hossain, President of Johan Food Agro Chamber of Commerce, and Md. Shamsul Alam, Executive Director of SEHEO, were present as special guests. The program aims to build the capacity of new and existing entrepreneurs through training and financial support, especially those outside the formal banking system. Senior officials and local entrepreneurs attended the event, where guests expressed hope that the initiative would promote financial inclusion and strengthen local entrepreneurship
