IFIC Bank PLC and Swisscontact, a leading non-profit development organization, have joined hands to empower and support entrepreneurs from the aits areas of northern Bangladesh. The partnership was solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on Tuesday, at IFIC Tower.
Ms. Ferdousi Begum, Head of SME & Retail Product at IFIC Bank, and Mr. Abdul Awal, Team Leader of Swisscontact’s Making Markets Work for the Jamuna, Padma, and Teesta Chars (M4C) Project, signed the MoU, marking the official commencement of this strategic alliance.
The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of prominent figures from both organizations, including Mr. Sudhangshu Shekhar Biswas, Government Relations Advisor for the M4C Project at Swisscontact, Mr. Shah A Sarwar, Independent Director of IFIC Bank PLC, Mr. Mohammed Fahim Khan, MD & CEO of IFIC Bank, and Ms. Syeda Zinia Rashid, Senior Programme Officer at the Embassy of Switzerland.
This collaborative effort aims to leverage IFIC Bank’s financial offerings, such as the IFIC Shohoj Account and IFIC Shohoj Rin, to promote gender equality and inclusive development within the char communities.
