IFIC Bank organized a day-long workshop

With the aim of making currency management in the bank more streamlined, disciplined and modernized, the country’s largest commercial bank, IFIC Bank PLC, organized a day-long workshop titled “Currency Management by Scheduled Bank’s Branches.”

The workshop took place recently on Saturday (April 4, 2026) at IFIC Tower in Purana Paltan, Dhaka. The workshop featured Mr. A.K.M. Rezaul Karim, Director, Bangladesh Bank Training Academy (BBTA) as resource person. The session focused on various aspects, challenges and solutions related to currency management and cash processing in the banking sector. He provided valuable guidance on current regulations, directives from Bangladesh Bank and modern cash management systems. Mr. Tagore Lakshaman Chandra Ghosh, Head of the Customer Service Center of IFIC Bank PLC and Mr. William Chowdhury, Head of the Currency Management Department of IFIC Bank PLC, were also present at the workshop.

More than 600 officials from various Branches & Uposhakhas of IFIC Bank PLC located in the Dhaka and it’s surroundings regions participated in the workshop physically and through online platform. Participants received training on topics including Clean Note Policy and Note Refund Regulation of Bangladesh Bank, proper note sorting, Fake Note detection and prevention of it’s circulation and reporting procedures as mandated by Bangladesh Bank.
