Imran,Jhenaidah Correspondent: A human chain was formed in Jhenaidah district town demanding the establishment of a railway line, a medical college, and the restoration of the Nabaganga River.
The event took place on Saturday morning at the Post Office intersection in the town. It was organized by the Committee for the Implementation of the Railway Line, Medical College, and University.
Expressing solidarity and delivering speeches at the event were District BNP President Advocate M. A. Majid, General Secretary Zahiduzzaman Mona, GP Mokarram Hossain Tulu, Shop Owners’ Association President Anwarul Islam Badsha, Press Club President Asif Iqbal Kajol, Implementation Committee President N. M. Shahjalal, General Secretary Kamruzzaman Pintu, and others.
Speakers at the event stated that Jhenaidah district has long been neglected.
Due to the absence of a railway line and a medical college, the communication infrastructure remains weak, and healthcare services are lagging behind. They demanded the immediate establishment of a railway line and a medical college in Jhenaidah, as well as the excavation and restoration of the Nabaganga River.
