Global Islami Bank won the Bronze Award from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) under the ‘Islami Banking Companies’ category. The award title is the 10th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence, 2022.

The companies were judged in terms of ensuring corporate governance, overall management of their teams, transparency, accountability, and compliance with the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission’s (BSEC) Corporate Governance Code.

The Commerce Minister of Bangladesh, Tipu Munshi, was present at the prize-giving ceremony virtually. Kazi Mashiur Rahman Jayhad, Additional Managing Director of the bank, received the award on behalf of the bank at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden. Sami Karim, Deputy Managing Director; Imtiaz Ahmed Siddiqui, Head of Marketing; and Manjur Hossain, Company Secretary, were also present on the occasion.
