Shahjalal Islami Bank wins 10th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC won the Gold Award (1st Position) in the 10th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence-2022 for the best-presented annual report 2022. The award was presented to the bank in recognition of excellence in corporate governance as well as transparency and accountability in overall management.

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) awarded a gold award to Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC in the Islamic Banking Companies category on Saturday at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in the capital, Dhaka. The Commerce Minister, Tipu Munshi, joined the program online as the chief guest.

The Managing Director and CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, received the award from Tapan Kanti Ghosh, the Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce of the Bangladesh Government.

Among others, the Chairman of the Capital Market Stabilization Fund, Najibur Rahman, the President of ICSB, Asad Ullah, the Chairman of the ICSB Corporate Governance Committee, Nurul Alam, the Additional Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank, Mainuddin Chowdhury, the Deputy Managing Director, Nazimuddoula, and the Company Secretary of Shahjalal Islami Bank, Abul Bashar, were also present.
