FBCCI wants strong role of commercial counselors to capture new markets

FBCCI urged Commercial Councilors and First Secretaries to actively promote foreign investment in Bangladesh

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the top trade organization of the country, wants the strong role of commercial counselors to diversify export products and capture new markets in different countries of the world.

FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam made this call in a courtesy meeting held with the newly appointed officials as Commercial Councilor and First Secretary (Commercial) in different countries on Sunday, reads a press release.

Mahbubul Alam said that the contribution of foreign investment is very important for the economic development and market expansion of Bangladesh. Our main aim is to maintain the commercial aspects even in the midst of global crisis.

He commented that the appointed Commercial Councilor and First Secretary (Commercial) can play an important role in this regard.

Mahbubul Alam urged the newly joined officers to work on market diversification and export growth and strengthen communication with all types of domestic and foreign development organizations, national and international organizations and commercial organizations. FBCCI president assured commercial councilors and first secretaries (commercial) of all kinds of cooperation for this.

Senior Vice President of FBCCI Amin Helali said, our main aim will be to bring the domestic products from the marginal market to the international market, and for that he wants the cooperation of the officers involved.

Among others, FBCCI Vice President Mohammad Anwar Sadat Sarkar, Munir Hossain, FBCCI General Secretary Mohammad Alamgir and others were present.
