UCB Partners with Chartered Life Insurance

United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) and Chartered Life Insurance Company PLC have signed an agreement to enable the convenient, secure, and seamless collection of insurance premiums and admissible fees through UCB’s digital and physical distribution channels.

Under the partnership, Chartered Life Insurance policyholders can pay their premiums through UCB ONE Internet Banking, UCB’s Payment Gateway, and other secure digital channels, as well as through UCB branches, sub-branches, and Agent Banking outlets.

The collaboration demonstrates UCB’s Transaction Banking (TB) u der Wholesale Banking Division capabilities by combining digital payment solutions with an extensive distribution network to support efficient collections and enhance customer convenience for corporate partners.

The agreement was signed by Ms. Sufia Akter, Deputy Managing Director, Wholesale Banking, UCB, and Mr. Mohammed Amdad Ullah, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Chartered Life Insurance Company PLC.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq, SEVP & Head of Brand Marketing and Corporate Affairs, UCB, along with senior officials from both organizations, including Mr. Abu Ahmad Kabir, ACMA (UK), CGMA, Chief Financial Officer, Chartered Life Insurance Company PLC.

This partnership reinforces UCB’s commitment to delivering integrated Transaction Banking solutions that create greater value for corporate customers and their stakeholders, in line with the spirit of “One Bank, One Team”.
