Mongolian Ambassador expresses interest in Bangladesh’s skilled labor for agriculture, garments, and construction, while FBCCI President discusses potential collaboration sectors

In a recent meeting at FBCCI’s office in the capital, FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam expressed a strong desire to strengthen economic ties with Mongolia, particularly in the export of skilled manpower to meet the growing labor market demands in Mongolia.
President Mahbubul Alam emphasized potential sectors for collaboration between the two countries, highlighting the global recognition of Bangladeshi products such as ready-made garments, jute and leather products, footwear, medicines, plastic goods, textiles, ceramic products, light engineering, and electronic products.
During the meeting, President Mahbubul Alam underscored the various initiatives taken by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to attract foreign investors, including the establishment of 100 special economic zones, tax exemptions for foreign investors, and streamlined services to create a favorable environment for foreign investment.
Mongolian Ambassador H.E. Ganbold Dambajav expressed interest in importing skilled manpower from Bangladesh, specifically for sectors like agriculture, ready-made garments, and construction.
Highlighting Mongolia’s vast land for cultivation despite its small population, the Ambassador identified it as an opportunity for collaboration.
The Ambassador also recognized Mongolia as a potential source of raw materials for Bangladeshi garments and expressed interest in collaboration with the tourism sector.
The President and Ambassador extended an invitation to their native investors and businessman to explore opportunities in both countries.
The meeting, attended by FBCCI Director Kausar Ahmed, FBCCI International Wing Consultant Ambassador Mosud Mannan ndc, and others, focused on mutual collaboration for economic growth and the exchange of skilled manpower between the two nations.
