Noakhali Correspondent: Fakhrul Islam, Chairman of Fareast Islami Life Insurance Company Limited, has denied all allegations of business ties with the S. Alam Group and accusations of illegal money laundering abroad, calling such reports false. He strongly protested against the defamatory news published against him.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday (September 27) afternoon at his residence in Companyganj, Noakhali, Fakhrul Islam said, “All the allegations against me are baseless and maliciously motivated. It has been alleged that I colluded with the S. Alam Group to launder 12,000 crore taka. If there is any proof that I have laundered even 12 taka, I will quit politics and business.”
He further stated that certain quarters are deliberately spreading rumors to tarnish his reputation. He also denied any involvement with corruption or wrongdoing linked to S. Alam Group or any other organization. He believes these false propaganda efforts are being made ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections.
At the press conference, Fakhrul Islam urged media personnel not to publish misleading news without verifying the truth.
