Envoy Textiles Limited Holds 30th Annual General Meeting

The 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Envoy Textiles Limited, the world’s first denim manufacturer to receive the Lead Platinum certification, was held at the Gulshan Shooting Club.

On Saturday, 6 December, at 11:00 am, the meeting was chaired by the company’s founder and Chairman, Engineer Kutubuddin Ahmed, with Managing Director Tanvir Ahmed delivering a speech.

Also present were respected shareholders, members of the Board of Directors, senior officials, and the relevant auditors. The meeting was conducted by Company Secretary M. Saiful Islam Chowdhury. Representatives of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) and the Audit Committee also attended.

During the AGM, the audited financial statements for the year ending 30 June 2025, the auditors’ report, and the Board of Directors’ report were received, reviewed, and approved. The Board’s recommendation of a 30% dividend for the year ending 30 June 2025 was also approved.

Managing Director Tanvir Ahmed informed the shareholders that in the 2024-25 fiscal year, Envoy Textiles Limited more than doubled its profit compared to the previous year, achieving a net profit of approximately BDT 141 crore, the highest in the company’s history.

He added that earnings per share rose to BDT 8.40 from BDT 3.58 last year. The net asset value per share increased from BDT 51.93 to BDT 58.32, and cash flow per share improved from BDT 3.68 to BDT 4.77.

During 2024-25, the company’s revenue reached BDT 1,862.48 crore, a 30.60% increase compared to BDT 1,426.14 crore in 2023-24. This growth was driven by rising international demand for denim products and expanded sales. The company sold a total of 55.41 million yards of denim fabric, representing a 39.4% increase over the previous fiscal year.
