Eastern Bank has proposed a 35% dividend for its shareholders for the year 2024, which includes 17.50% in cash and 17.50% in stock.

This announcement followed a board meeting held on Monday, as reported by a bank source.

To finalize the dividend, the bank plans to hold its annual general meeting on May 21, with the record date set for April 23.

In the previous year, the bank’s consolidated earnings per share were Tk4.86, an increase from Tk4.51 the year before.
