DSEX Falls Marginally While Turnover Grows on DSE

On the third working day of the week, trading on the country’s main stock exchange, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended with a mixed performance of indices. Nearly 200 companies saw a decline in share prices, although the total transaction value rose slightly.

According to DSE sources, on Tuesday (October 28), the DSE’s main index, DSEX, fell by 2.72 points, settling at 5,084 points.

In addition, the DSES index dropped 1.54 points to 1,071 points, while the DS-30 index rose by 4.35 points to 1,973 points.

On this day, the total turnover on the DSE stood at Tk 451.37 crore, up from Tk 394.18 crore in the previous trading session.

A total of 399 companies traded their shares and units during the session. Among them, prices rose for 134 companies, fell for 199, and remained unchanged for 66.
