BM Desk: The overall price-earnings ratio (PE ratio) of the primary capital market in the country, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), saw an increase during the past week (June 22 to July 3). Throughout this timeframe, the PE ratio of the DSE rose by 1.18 percent.
This data was disclosed in the DSE’s weekly market review.
As per the report, the PE ratio of the DSE was recorded at 9.30 points at the start of the outgoing week. By the end of the week, it had risen to 9.41 points. Consequently, the PE ratio of the DSE experienced an increase of 0.11 points, equating to a 1.18 percent rise over the week.
In the preceding week (June 22 to 26), the PE ratio of the DSE began at 9.16 points and concluded at 9.30 points. Thus, the PE ratio of the DSE increased by 0.14 points, representing a 1.53 percent growth over that week.
