Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) closed on a mixed note on Thursday, the last trading day of the week, with turnover rising to Tk 997.30 crore.
According to DSE data, the benchmark DSEX index gained 1.78 points to close at 5,245 points. The Shariah-based DSES index also advanced by 0.83 points to 1,066 points.
However, the blue-chip DS30 index fell 9.04 points to settle at 1,981 points.
A total of 396 companies’ shares and units were traded during the session. Among them, prices of 199 companies advanced, 144 declined and 53 remained unchanged.
The day’s turnover increased from Tk 856.09 crore recorded in the previous trading session.
