On the third trading day of the week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main stock market, ended with a decline in the key indices, reflecting a negative market trend. Share prices of 233 companies fell, though the total turnover in monetary terms slightly increased.

According to the data, on Tuesday (October 14), the DSE’s benchmark index, DSEX, dropped by 30.48 points, settling at 5,197 points.
Additionally:
- The DSES (Shariah Index) declined by 11 points to 1,111 points.
- The DS30 Index, which tracks blue-chip companies, fell by 23 points, ending at 1,995 points.
Today, shares and units worth Tk 606.42 crore were traded on the DSE, compared to Tk 530.45 crore in the previous session.
A total of 396 companies’ shares and units were traded. Among them:
- Prices rose for 105 companies,
- Prices fell for 233 companies, and
- Prices remained unchanged for 58 companies.
