DSE Index Falls, Trading Value Declines

On the second trading day of the week, transactions at the country’s main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended with a downward trend in the price index. Share prices of 322 companies declined, and the total transaction value also fell slightly.

According to DSE data, on Monday (1 December), the benchmark index DSEX dropped by 64.04 points, settling at 4,914 points.
Additionally, the DSES index fell by 16.40 points to 1,028 points, while the DS30 index decreased by 21.32 points to 1,895 points.

On this day, shares and units worth Tk 415.90 crore were traded on the DSE, compared to Tk 492.54 crore in the previous trading session.

A total of 388 companies’ shares and units were traded. Among the participating firms, prices increased for 38 companies, declined for 322 companies, and remained unchanged for 28 companies.
