Trading on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended with mixed performances in the key indices on Tuesday, while daily turnover stood at Tk 1,111.49 crore.
According to DSE data, the benchmark DSEX index gained 8.43 points to close at 5,894.
However, the DSES index, which tracks Shariah-based stocks, fell 0.49 points to 1,185, while the blue-chip DS30 index declined 2.42 points to 2,201.
A total of 391 companies traded shares and units during the session. Of them, 170 advanced, 176 declined, and 45 remained unchanged, reflecting a mixed market trend despite the rise in the benchmark index.
Total turnover on the premier bourse amounted to Tk 1,111.49 crore. Although trading activity remained above the Tk 1,100-crore mark, it was lower than the Tk 1,210.52 crore recorded in the previous trading session.
