DSE Downgraded Two Companies from ‘A’ to ‘B’

B Mirror Report: The category of two companies listed on the capital market has been changed. The shares of these companies have been transferred from the ‘A’ category to the ‘B’ category, according to sources at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

The two companies are Shasha Denims and Rahima Food Corporation Limited.

Under capital market regulations, companies that usually declare dividends of 10 percent or more are placed in the ‘A’ category. However, as Rahima Food failed to declare the required dividend, a decision was taken to change its category. As a result of this category change, new rules will come into effect for trading the company’s shares from tomorrow. In particular, investors will now have to follow the ‘B’ category regulations regarding margin loan facilities and the settlement cycle.
