B Mirror Report:The board of listed company Doreen Power Generation has signed an agreement to sell all permanent assets of its Narsingdi power plant for Tk 10.2 crore, according to information from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
The 22-megawatt Narsingdi plant’s 15-year contract with the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) has expired, and BREB has informed that it will not renew the agreement. In response, the company decided to sell all the plant’s permanent assets.
Following this decision, Doreen Power signed a contract with KPI Trading Company for the sale. The deal includes the plant’s generator, transformer, radiators, engine hall, buildings, electric cables, switchgear, panels, batteries, equipment, and accessories, all for Tk 10.2 crore.
