The Divisional Branch Managers’ Conference of Janata Bank PLC, Rangpur Division, was held on Sunday, October 26, at a local auditorium. The Chairman of the bank, Md. Fazlur Rahman (CIP), attended the conference as the chief guest, while the Managing Director (MD), Md. Majibur Rahman, was present as the special guest. The event was presided over by Md. Abdul Bari Chowdhury, General Manager of the Rangpur Divisional Office.
Deputy Managing Director Md. Ashraful Alam, General Manager of the ICT Division at the Head Office Mohammad Anis, along with the executives and branch managers under the Rangpur Divisional Office, participated in the conference.
Earlier, on October 25, the Managing Director Md. Majibur Rahman inaugurated a training course titled “Importance of SWIFT ISO 20022 (MX) Migration” at the Rangpur Divisional Office. He also inaugurated and conducted two workshops on financial literacy in Rangpur and Dinajpur.
During the conference, Chairman Md. Fazlur Rahman emphasized that before granting loans, it is important to assess whether clients have the mentality to repay them. He instructed officials to disburse loans to good clients and ensure timely recovery.
At the same time, Managing Director Md. Majibur Rahman urged officers to focus more on collecting deposits at low interest rates and recovering default loans. He also instructed the attending executives and officers to strictly adhere to the bank’s rules and regulations.
