Daffodil Computer will issue new shares

Daffodil Computers Limited, a company listed on the capital market, wants to issue new ordinary shares. The company’s board of directors has taken a policy decision in this regard. The shares will be issued subject to the approval of the regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

The decision to issue new shares was taken in the meeting of the company’s board of directors held on Monday (December 02). This information was revealed by company sources.

According to the source, Daffodil Computers Limited has decided to issue 4 crore 6.7 million new shares. These shares will be issued at a face value of 10 taka. Through this, the company will convert the loan of 46 crore 70 lakh taka taken from Daffodil Family Concern into shares. That is, the new shares will be issued in the name of Daffodil Family Concern.

 

It is worth noting that Daffodil Computers Limited was listed on the capital market in 2006 by issuing shares in the market through an initial public offering (IPO). Currently, the company’s paid-up capital is 49 crore 12 lakh taka. Its number of shares is 49.1 million. In the last accounting year, the company earned only 21 paise per share. The company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) as of June 30, 2024 was 13 taka 24 paise.
