B.Mirror Desk: In a colorful and joyful atmosphere, the Canadian University of Bangladesh celebrated “Boishakhi Utsab 1433” with great enthusiasm. Organized by the university’s Cultural Club, the day-long festival featured a wide range of cultural performances, diverse stalls, engaging activities, and captivating entertainment—transforming the entire campus into a lively celebration of tradition.
The inauguration of the event was carried out by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and renowned commentator, Mr. Chowdhury Jafarullah Sharafat. In his speech, he stated, “This festival is not only about celebration—it is a gathering of unity, creativity, and culture.”
The event was also attended by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. H. M. Zahirul Haq, Treasurer Professor A. S. M. Sirajul Haq, Acting Registrar A. S. M. G. Faruk, along with respected deans, department heads, faculty members, administrative officials, students, and invited guests.
The formal program began at 3:00 PM, followed by lively performances by the university’s students, including dance, music, and recitation. The campus also hosted a variety of stalls featuring handicrafts, food, fusion fashion, and games, where students actively participated as young entrepreneurs.
In the afternoon, a much-anticipated concert blending contemporary brand music with traditional Bangladeshi tunes energized the audience, as both performers and spectators joined in the celebration with music and dance. The campus was beautifully decorated with colorful alpana and festive balloons, adding a unique aesthetic charm to the event.
The overall coordination of the event was led by Mr. Hasanuzzaman, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Moderator of the Cultural Club.
