CSE Hosts Visit from Malaysian Ambassador

The Excellency of The ambassador of Malaysia, Muhammad Shuhada Osman, paid a visit to Chittagong Stock Exchange PLC (CSE), the second-biggest stock exchange in Bangladesh. He went to the CSE headquarters in Chattogram on November 16.

He further mentioned that Bangladesh is an important hub for commodity trading and is one of the major importers of crude palm oil from Malaysia. He added that CSE hopes to launch crude palm oil futures on its commodity platform in the future.

The Malaysian Ambassador, His Excellency Mohammad Shuhada Osman, expressed his commitment to cooperating in the development of Bangladesh’s capital market—especially the commodity market—through capacity building, information exchange, business development, and working together to achieve economic growth.

Present at the event were Malaysia High Commission First Secretary Hazwan Bin Hasanul, CSE Director Mohammad Akhtar Parvez, Major (Retd.) Emdadul Islam, Chief Regulatory Officer Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, General Manager Mohammad Mezbakh Uddin, General Manager Mohammad Monirul Haque, and other senior officials.
