Agrani Bank PLC’s Islamic Banking Unit held the 48th meeting of its Shariah Supervisory Committee on May 17 at the bank’s head office conference room in Dhaka.
The meeting was chaired by Shariah Supervisory Committee Chairman Dr. Mufti Muhammad Abu Yousuf. Committee members Dr. Muhammad Zahirul Islam and Mufti Imam Hossain, along with Secretary Md. Nurul Islam, were present.
During the meeting, Agrani Bank Managing Director Md. Anwarul Islam, Deputy Managing Director Parsuma Alam, and General Manager (Islamic Banking) Mohammad Fazlul Karim introduced the members of the newly formed Shariah Supervisory Committee.
The committee discussed several Shariah-related matters concerning the bank’s Islamic banking operations. Executives and officials of Agrani Bank’s Islamic Banking Unit also attended the meeting.
