Committee of BSEC to review the activities of DSE-CSE.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has formed two separate committees to look into the current activities of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the main stock markets of the country.

BSEC director Md. Abul Kalam has been made the head of the four-member committee of Dhaka Stock Exchange. Other members of the committee are, Additional Director Md. Miraj Us Sunnah, Deputy Director Md. Bani Yamin Khan and Assistant Director Muhammad Sadekur Rahman Bhuiyan. The committee has been asked to submit a report to the commission within the next 20 working days.

Also BSEC director Fakhrul Islam Majumdar has been appointed as the head of the committee to inspect the Chittagong Stock Exchange.

According to the instructions of BSEC, an ‘Inspection Committee’ has been constituted as per Section 82(2) (j) of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Act 1993 along with Rule 17 of Rules 2020. The stock exchanges shall assist and facilitate the audit process of the Committee so that all the information sought by the Committee and permissions for activities including security protocols are granted without delay.
