Chief Adviser seeks UK’s help to recover money laundered

The chief advisor of the interim government has asked for the UK’s cooperation to return money smuggled out of the country. Muhammad Yunus. This was said by the chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus press secretary Shafiqul Alam.

At noon British High Commissioner Sarah Cook met the Chief Adviser at Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna

Dr. during the meeting. Yunus said that many of the previous government of Bangladesh have settled in UK and sent money. He asked the British High Commissioner for support on how to bring that money back.

In response, the British High Commissioner said that he will look into the issue of money laundering. Besides, the relationship between Britain and Bangladesh is very deep. One of the reasons is that there are many Bangladeshis in Britain. There are about 700,000 British Bangladeshis. They are a part of British society.

Later Dr. Yunus also said that there is no chance of failure in the challenge that he has taken up.
