Coast Guard chief inspects law and order arrangements in Bhola for election

The Chief of Bangladesh Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Ashraful Haque Chowdhury, inspected the law and order arrangements of the Coast Guard in Bhola on Thursday.

The Coast Guard is one of the law enforcement agencies tasked with maintaining law and order during the 12th National Parliamentary Election. In accordance with the instructions of the Election Commission, the Coast Guard has been deployed in 43 coastal unions in Bhola to maintain overall peace and order from December 29, 2023 to January 10, 2024.

During his inspection, the Coast Guard Chief reviewed the preparations and activities of the Coast Guard personnel deployed in the election area. He also gave a directive speech to the Coast Guard contingent members.

In his speech, the Coast Guard Chief said that the Coast Guard is always ready to fulfill its responsibilities to create an environment for a free, fair, and impartial election in accordance with the instructions of the Election Commission.

The Coast Guard Chief was accompanied by the Commander of Coast Guard South Zone, Rear Admiral Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman.
