Bengal Group chairman Morshed Alam was taken into custody by a team from the detective branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Tuesday evening at a site in the Gulshan neighborhood of the capital. Muhammad Talebur Rahman, the DMP deputy commissioner for media and public relations, verified the information to the media.

The Bengal Group chairman was taken into custody at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to senior DMP DB officers.
