We’re making progress toward our Three Zeros objective. The three zeros are zero carbon emissions, zero unemployment, and zero poverty. Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the principal advisor, stated that the goal of this initiative is to create a world that is both livable and free from discrimination for everyone.
During the ‘Social Business Academia Dialogue’ and ‘Three Zero Club Convention’ held at North South University on Sunday morning, June 29, he made his remarks via video message. Yunus Center and North South University collaborated to organize the event.
According to Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, social business has evolved into a social movement rather than merely an idea. For a considerable amount of time, North South University has been at the forefront of social business in Bangladesh. University of North South has set a strong example for others by organizing social business forums and developing an innovative culture.
Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum, the Chief Guest, graced the occasion. Social Welfare Advisor Sharmin S. Murshid, Dr. Ismail Serageldin, a former World Bank vice president and co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, Aziz Al Qaiser, the chairman of the board of trustees of North South University and City Bank, Erik Solheim, the former Norwegian minister of environment and climate, and Lamia Morshed, the chief coordinator for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Office of the Chief Advisor, were among the special guests.
