Listed engineering firm BSRM Steels Limited is going to start commercial production at its new factory soon.

According to sources, the company’s new rolling mills located at Mirsrai, Chittagong are going to start commercial production from January 1, 2025. The plant will produce 6 lakh tonnes of MS rod and wire rod annually.

The profit of BSRM Steels Limited has increased in the July-September quarter of the current financial year. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at Tk. 2.26 paise. In the same period last year, the earnings per share of the company was 1 21 paise.

BSRM Steels Limited paid a cash dividend of 25 percent in 2023; 30 percent in 2022, 40 percent in 2021, 15 percent in 2020, 25 percent in 2019 and 10 percent in 2018.

BSRM Steels has an authorized capital of Tk. 500 crore; Paid up capital is Tk 375 crore 95 lakhs.
