Body of fisherman recovered from Padma River in Rajbari

Md. Nazrul Islam, Rajbari District Correspondent: The body of a fisherman named Muslim Pramanik (55) was recovered from the Padma river at Goland in Rajbari. He is the son of Haydar Pramanik of Idris Mandal Para of Daulatdia Union of Goaland Upazila.
On Saturday (April 19) morning, the body was recovered from the Padma river in Majid Sheikh neighborhood of Daulatdia Launchghat area of Goland upazila.
Locals and family members said that around 11 am on Friday, Muslim came home after catching authentic fish and selling it in the market. After eating and drinking, he went to fish again in the Padma river. Local people found his body floating in the water on Saturday morning. The family believes that he died of a hard attack as he was ill. After informing the police, the naval police recovered the body. The body was handed over to the family as there was no complaint.
Daulatdia naval outpost SI Md. Lutfar Rahman said that the body was handed over to the family as there was no complaint from the victim’s family.
