BITAC holds certificate distribution and Job Fair under SICIP

The Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center (BITAC), under the Finance Division’s Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), organized a certificate distribution ceremony and job fair at its Advanced Training and Innovation Center (ATIC) in Dhaka.

The event marked the completion of the 5th batch of the Advanced Training Program and the 4th batch of the Basic Training Program on Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)-related skills. The initiative aims to strengthen the linkage between training, industry, and employment, helping to build a skilled workforce and expand job opportunities.

Md. Feroz Uddin, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industries and Director General of BITAC, attended as the chief guest. Md. Waliul Hossain, Additional Secretary of the Finance Division and Executive Program Director of SICIP, was present as a special guest. Other attendees included Md. Manjur Ahmed, Chief of DEPD (Program Management), Dr. Matiur Rahman and Moinul Karim, AEPDs of SICIP, as well as senior officials from the program and BITAC.

Representatives from leading companies such as PRAN-RFL Group, City Group, ACI Group, Aziz Trade & Engineering Ltd., Service BPO Ltd., and Matador Group took part in the job fair.

Speakers at the event stressed the importance of developing skilled human resources to address the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. They noted that such training programs play a vital role in enhancing technology-based skills and creating employment opportunities in the industrial sector.

A total of 180 trainees received certificates upon successful completion of their courses, and several participants were offered job placement letters during the event.

Officials said BITAC’s ongoing initiatives are contributing to building a technologically skilled workforce, supporting economic growth, and creating employment opportunities across the country.
