The 40th Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh General Insurance Co. PLC. (BGIC) was held on 22 June, 2025 on Virtual platform at Head office. At the beginning a special Dua was offered for the eternal peace of the departed souls of BGIC’s Founder late M.A. Samad and other member who departed earlier with the presented Shareholders. Chairman of the Company Mr. Towhid Samad Chaired the Meeting. A large number of Shareholders including Mr. Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of the Company were present on the meeting.
BGIC, the first General Insurance Company in the private sector of Bangladesh approved 10% Cash Dividend on enhanced paid up capital of approximately Tk. 54.03 crore for the year 2024.
The meeting was also attended by Public Director Mr. Md. Shakil Rizvi, Nominated Director Mr. Mohammad Manjur Mahmud, Independent Director Mr. Nasir Uddin Chowdhury and Senior Officials. Mr. Saifuddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director & Company Secretary Conducted the meeting smoothly.
