Bangladesh Krishi Bank employees celebrate May Day 2026

B Mirror Report: Employees of Bangladesh Krishi Bank celebrated International Workers’ Day 2026 in a festive atmosphere through a joint initiative of the Employees Union (CBA B-985), Officers’ Welfare Association, and Women’s Forum.

The day-long program included a discussion session, rally, and various activities focusing on workers’ rights and welfare. Officials and employees from different levels of the bank participated in the celebration.

Among those present were Md. Zahid Hossain, Chief Coordinator of the Nationalist Forum and Deputy General Manager; Syed Liaquat Hossain, Convener of the Officers’ Welfare Association; Fayez Uddin Ahmed, President of the Employees Union (CBA B-985); Md. Miraj Hossain, General Secretary of the union; and Taslima Akter Leena, Convener of the Women’s Forum.

Representatives from the International Labour Organization were also present at the event.

Speakers emphasized the importance of ensuring workers’ rights, maintaining safe working conditions, and upholding international standards of social protection. The program also included honoring workers, raising awareness, and promoting unity and cooperation among employees.

The bank’s authorities reaffirmed their commitment to continuing worker-friendly initiatives in the future.
