Bangladesh Krishi Bank achieves 2nd Prize Silver Award Among Top 10 Banks in Remittance Collection at the World Conference Series 2026 Inaugural Ceremony

The inaugural ceremony of the ‘Center for Non-Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) World Conference Series 2026’ was held on April 12, 2026, at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital. The main theme of this year’s conference was “Branding Bangladesh Beyond Borders.” At the event, awards were distributed among the top 10 banks for foreign remittance collection. Bangladesh Krishi Bank achieved the 2nd Prize Silver Award for ranking second among all banks in the country. The Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Sanchia Binte Ali received the award on behalf of the bank. In her speech, Sanchia Binte Ali stated, “By collecting 3.13 billion USD in remittance in 2025.” She expressed her gratitude to all officers and employees of the all branches for this achievement, while also thanking the expatriates living abroad who have maintained unwavering trust in the extensive network of the bank. The Minister of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Zahir Uddin Swapon, MP was present as the chief guest. MS Shekil Chowdhury, Chairperson of the Centre for NRB presided over the ceremony while the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Shama Obayed Islam, MP, the State Minister of Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Md. Nurul Huq, MP, Deputy Managing Director of Bangldesh Krishi Bank Mohd. Khaleduzzaman, leading economists of the country, executives from various bank, and NRB representatives were present.
