Bangladesh, China to elevate ties to new height

Dr.Muhammad Yunus, Bangladesh’s chief advisor, stated that his country places the highest priority on China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).He advocated at the time for Chinese investment and the transfer of industrial facilities to Bangladesh. According to the Chief Advisor, this will be advantageous for Bangladesh and other landlocked nations in the region.

In an interview with the nation’s media outlet, CGTN, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus stated as much. The interview, which lasted four minutes, was released on Saturday, April 5. Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus stated in the interview that he wants to strengthen relations with China.

The Chief Advisor suggested creating Chinese cultural center in Bangladesh during the interview.He believed that this would allow for cultural interchange between the two nations this.

Bangladesh is on the path to transition from a least developed country to a developing country, the Chief Advisor wants everyone’s cooperation to move the country forward. He commented that peace is the only solution, war is not a solution. There is no need for war to establish peace.

In addition, Yunus said he hoped his trip to China will strengthen and improve the two nations’ ties. The success of the 50-year bilateral relationship between China and Bangladesh has been deemed extremely significant by Professor Muhammad Yunus, the chief counselor to the interim administration of Bangladesh.

He conveyed the expectation that China will keep working with Bangladesh to help it change in accordance with the wishes of its citizens.

Yunus was present at the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) 2025 annual conference, which took place from March 26 to 29 in the island province of Hainan in southern China. Then, after taking on the position of chief advisor, he made his first trip to Beijing.
