B Mirror Report: Bangladesh Bank (BB) has been awarded the International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) Honours–2025 in the National Category in recognition of its remarkable achievement in developing and successfully implementing the Guideline on Sustainability and Climate-related Financial Disclosure for banks and financial institutions.
The ISAR Honours, bestowed by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), recognize outstanding policy, institutional, and capacity-building initiatives that promote sustainability-related disclosures by enterprises. These initiatives are aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and emphasize the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into corporate reporting frameworks, according to a press release.
The prestigious award was officially received on behalf of Bangladesh Bank by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh in Geneva, Switzerland, from UNCTAD.
To mark the achievement, Bangladesh Bank organized the ISAR Honours–2025 Award-Winning Ceremony today.
At the ceremony, Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam formally handed over the ISAR Honours–2025 award to Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H. Mansur.
