Bangladesh Bank has increased the dollar endorsement limit.

Bangladesh Bank has approved increasing the dollar endorsement limit of Money Exchange House from 1 thousand to 5 thousand dollars.

Last Monday (September 3) in a meeting with the representatives of the Money Changers Association of Bangladesh, the governor said. Ahsan H. Mansoor took such a decision. The president of Money Changers Association of Bangladesh MS Zaman gave this information to the journalists after the meeting.

MS Zaman said that our fundamental rights were discussed in the meeting and we got them. The Governor has also given instructions to the concerned departments of Bangladesh Bank.

From now Bangladesh Bank has allowed money exchanges to purchase foreign currency with NID without passport. MS Zaman said that we can show NID information as evidence in reporting to Bangladesh Bank.

Besides, the president of Money Changers Association of Bangladesh said that there was a discussion with the governor about the selling rate of dollars. He said, as before, the money exchange houses can sell by adding one taka to the rate at which the bank will sell the dollar.

He also said that now there is no raid on money changers. If there was an expedition, it might have been talked about. And now we are not being harassed. However, we have talked about the fact that we are often slandered.
