Parsad Bangladesh Bank of IFFC Bank
Bangladesh Bank has dissolved the board of directors of listed IFIC Bank Plc. The banking regulatory body informed about this decision in a letter sent to the managing director of IFIC Bank on Wednesday (September 4).
The board of the bank has been dissolved and a new board of directors has been formed.
The former managing director of National Bank in the restructured board. Mehmud Hossain, former executive director of Bangladesh Bank Ebtadul Islam, BRAC University economics professor Sajjad Zahir and chartered accountant Kazi Md. Mahbub Kashem has been made Independent Director.
Besides, additional secretary of the finance department of the Ministry of Finance is appointed as the representative director by the government. Golam Mostafa and Joint Secretary Muhammad Manjurul Haque.
Earlier on Tuesday (September 3), Bangladesh Bank dissolved the board of directors of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Plc and Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited. The board was abolished by two separate orders of Bangladesh Bank. The order informed that five directors have been appointed in both the banks.
