Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB) Plc has stepped into 30 years. On this occasion, a discussion meeting, prayer ceremony were organized at the bank’s head office, all branches and sub-branches across the country on Sunday, 29th September. Chairman of the Board Khwaja Shahriar delivered speech as the chief guest at the event. Presided by Managing Director and CEO Farman R. Chowdhury Directors of the Bank Md. Shahin Ul Islam and  Md. Abdul Wadud spoke at the ceremony. Directors Professor Dr. Mohammed Abu Eusuf and Mohammad Asraful Hassan FCA were present at the event.

Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank Syed Masudul Bari, Muhammed Nadim, Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan, Mohammed Hossain, Departmental head and senior Executives were present at the ceremony. Senior Executives of the Bank, Zonal Head, Branch Managers, Sub-Branch In-charges, Valued Clients and well-wishers joined the event virtually as well. 

Al-Arafah Islami Bank started Banking operations on 27 September 1995. latterly, the Bank has been providing advanced Banking services to customers through 225 Branches, 72 Sub-Branches, 745 agent outlets, 225 ATM booth across the country. The total amount of Bank deposit is 51 thousand 530 crore (June’24) and investment amount is 46 thousand 561 crore TK. The total number of customers of the bank is 36 lakhs out of which there are more than 2 lac 5 thousand investment clients. 

In the speech of the chief guest, Chairman of the Bank Khawaja Shahriar said that Al-Arafah Islami Bank has been playing an important role in the country’s agriculture, economy, trade, industry and infrastructure. We are happy to be a proud partner in the overall development and prosperity of the country. Besides, he extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the customers, well-wishers, patrons and regulatory bodies of the Bank on this auspicious occasion.

Managing Director and CEO Farman R. Chowdhury said Al Arafah Islami Bank has been providing services to customers sincerely since its inception. Due to full trust and faith of the customers towards the Bank, AIB PLC has become one of the best Islamic banks in the country.
