Al-Arafah Islami Bank Holds Training Workshop on Foreign Exchange and International Trade Management

A three-day training course titled “Foreign Exchange and International Trade Management” was held at the Training Institute (AIBTI) of Al-Arafah Islami Bank. Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan inaugurated the training workshop as the chief guest on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

In his inaugural speech, Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan highlighted the significant role of foreign exchange and international trade operations in ensuring the overall growth of the Bank. He stated that in the context of the current global economic landscape, acquiring expertise in international trade financing and foreign exchange management is essential for achieving sustainable growth. Addressing the participants, he emphasized the importance of applying the knowledge gained from the training by properly following the guidelines of regulatory authorities, mitigating risks, and enhancing the quality of services provided to the Bank’s import and export clients, thereby contributing significantly to the national economy.

The training workshop was presided over by the Senior Executive Vice President & Principal of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute (AIBTI) Md. Abdur Rahim Duary. Senior Executive Vice President of the Training Institute SM Zulkar Nayeen and Md. Mazharul Alom were also present at the workshop. A total of 50 officers from different branches of the Bank participated in the training program.

The workshop is expected to play a significant role in enhancing the participants’ necessary skills for conducting international trade transactions smoothly and securely.
