Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC organized an Open Agricultural Investment Distribution Program through its Sherpur Branch in Bogura. Under the program, agricultural investment facilities were distributed among 31 farmers to support agricultural production and rural economic development.
Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Md. Ruknuzzaman attended the program as the Chief Guest. Deputy Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank S. M. Abu Jafar was present as the Special Guest. Among others, Senior Assistant Vice President of the Bank Sheikh Asadul Haque, the Manager of Sherpur Branch, the Head of Bogura Cluster, and other officials of the Bank were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Md. Ruknuzzaman highlighted the importance of agricultural investment in increasing agricultural production and ensuring the country’s food security. He urged the farmers to utilize the investment properly to enhance productivity and emphasized the importance of timely repayment.
In his speech, Mr. S. M. Abu Jafar stated that Al-Arafah Islami Bank remains committed to the development of agriculture and the rural economy. He noted that by providing investment facilities on easy terms, the Bank aims to strengthen farmers’ financial capacity and contribute to the sustainable growth of the agricultural sector.
The participating farmers appreciated the Bank’s initiative and expressed their optimism that the agricultural investment support would play a significant role in expanding agricultural production and improving their livelihoods.
