Rasel Sorkar Rajshahi :Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd), Agriculture Advisor, conducted an inspection of the irrigation system managed by the Barendra Multipurpose Development Authority and engaged in discussions with local farmers.
On Thursday, May 08, he evaluated the deep tube well initiative and the provision of drinking water from these wells in Dhelpir Mouza, located in the Biral Union of Biral Upazila, Dinajpur district. The Agriculture Advisor emphasized that the thriving crops visible in the area are a direct result of the farmers’ hard work. He stated that to advance Bangladesh, it is essential to support farmers consistently and ensure they do not encounter difficulties. He praised the Barendra Multipurpose Development Authority for its timely irrigation services, which have contributed to a significant increase in crop yields. He urged everyone to unite in support of the farmers to propel the nation forward.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Dr. M Asaduzzaman, Chairman of the Barendra Multipurpose Development Authority, and various other officials and engineers from the organization, as well as local farmers.
