ABS Foundation Pabna distributes saplings among students

On Saturday at 11 am, ABS Foundation organized a tree plantation and distribution of fruit, forest and medicinal tree saplings among the students of Genius Pre-Cadet School in Pabna city.
On this occasion, a discussion meeting was held in the school hall. The discussion meeting was chaired by Genius Pre-Cadet School Principal Ferdousi Parveen and the chief guest was Rotarian Altaf Hossain, Chairman of ABS Foundation. He said that for many years, ABS Foundation has been distributing and planting seedlings of ornamental, rare species, almost extinct medicinal and fruit trees in various government, private institutions and community areas.
Today, we have chosen this school in the city as part of that continuity. He requested the students and guardians to plant these seedlings and take care of them properly. It is not enough to just plant them, you have to take care of them properly. Then I will be more happy. Dr. Mansur Alam, a prominent river researcher of Pabna and district correspondent of Business Mirror, spoke as a special guest. He said that we have to do planned afforestation; only then will this land be saved. The environment will be saved, and the sustainable development of the country will be possible. The school president Md. also spoke as a special guest. Hossain Ali and others.
Besides, teachers including Sabrina Khatun, Rokhsana Parvin, Aleya Khatun, Reshma Akhtar, Shila Khatun, Jannatul Ferdous Kusum, Shanta Khatun, Tania Khatun, more than fifty parents and 150 students were present. Also present were ‘Proprietor of Prayojon Water Purifier’ Amirul Islam, journalists from print and electronic media and some people from the neighborhood.
At the beginning of the program, a 5th grade student of the school, Md. Wahidul Islam, recited from the Holy Quran. The entire program was moderated and directed by the school’s advisor, Md. Abdul Quader Mithu.
