DPDC, SR Enterprise to setup EV charging stations in Dhaka

To set up electric vehicle charging stations with the motto “Easy Charging, Pollution-Free Driving”, Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) and S.R. Enterprise signed a memorandum of understanding. 

The agreement signing ceremony was held at the conference room of DPDC at Vidyut Bhavan on Thursday. The agreement was signed on behalf of DPDC by Company Secretary (Deputy Secretary) Asaduzzaman and S.R. Enterprise Chief Executive Officer Khandaker Ashikuzzaman on behalf of his company. 

Engineer Bikas Dewan, Managing Director of DPDC, was present as the chief guest on the occasion. In his speech, he emphasized the use of electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions and combat the adverse effects of climate change and urged various institutions to take advantage of DPDC’s assistance in setting up charging stations. 

People’s Group Chairman and Managing Director Khandkar Moshiuzzaman Rommel was present as a special guest of the program. In his speech, he emphasized mutual partnership in the renewable energy sector and cooperation among all parties involved in this sector.

The CEO of the SR enterprise, Khandaker Ashikuzzaman, pledged to reduce carbon emissions and build a pollution-free, green, and sustainable future.

The DPDC executive director, chief engineer, and senior officials were present at the event.
